Financial Aid Award Letter

If you are receiving Title IV assistance, your financial aid award letter will be emailed to your williamsoncc.edu school email address.  The award letter is an important document and it needs to be reviewed.  It will include your federal awards, scholarships and any outside assistance you have been awarded for the upcoming academic year. Please log into your Populi  account to both view and accept the offers.  You are required to accept an offered award before it can disburse. You have the right to reject any of the financial assistance you’ve been awarded. Just click “decline award” (example shown below in yellow). You will need to accept or decline the offers within 10 days of the date of the email notification.  Funds will be awarded for a forty week academic year and disbursed in two equal payments, for each twenty week consecutive term. It is important to apply for federal aid early so the applications can be processed and funds available for the start of your term. Beginning with the 2017-18 award year, you may apply for/or renew federal aid through the FAFSA after October 2016.  If the anticipated financial assistance is not awarded at the time the student’s new academic year begins, students must make arrangements, with the Business Office, to make payments until the federal aid has been processed.

When you receive the award letter email notice, log into your Populi account and under the tabs- Financial / Financial Aid – please accept or decline the offered awards. (as shown below in yellow)
